The documentary film about Marisa Cornejo is an extension of the research project Future Archives: Documenting Latin Art Narratives. This investigation highlights the importance of documenting the personal narratives of Latin American artists in Europe. Through the development of reflections on migration and working conditions, the film seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the intersection between migration and art.

The documentary presents Marisa Cornejo’s artistic journey, focusing on the transformative impact of her life experiences on her artistic practice. Through interviews conducted in the artist’s mother tongue, the research navigates the challenges of translation and the ethical considerations inherent in cultural research. The film brings together works created over the past 30 years, it’s presented in a non-linear temporality, proposing a new storytelling that weaves together her life story and her artistic practice.
