project descriptionOn the occasion of Pride Month, five artists from the Kimera Collective – Yel K. Banto, Tristan Bartolini, Camille Bellmas, Vincent Grange, and Hsuan Lee – came together to present the exhibition Læ Fol, l’aube et l’étoile. In a gesture celebrating their queer identities, they collaboratively conceived a large-scale artistic intervention within Espace Dukat.

Each artist’s individual work engaged in dialogue within an immersive installation evoking a salt landscape. Through a metaphor of their fluid identities, this dreamlike space was traversed by a stream of water that connected the different works by the members of the collective.

The scenography expanded to welcome guest artists Lara Chanel and Juliette Yasmine Mello, who presented their choreographic piece Surely no other driftings will taste the same sweat.

In addition, we invited curator Danniel Tostes to contribute with a fictional publication created from a conversation with the artists about their personal and professional relationships to talk about the concept of the collective and the sense of belonging within the queer community.
